High Technology High School

High Technology High School, located on the campus of Brookdale Community College, is a specialized school that emphasizes the disciplines of science, mathematics, and technology in support of its pre-engineering career focus.

The application process is very competitive with approximately seventy-five students being selected each year from a pool of over three hundred and twenty outstanding applicants, representing a cross-section of students from over forty-five sending school districts. Students apply as 8th graders and are accepted based on multiple criteria, including middle school grades, and performance on district developed assessments.

High Technology High School has been continually recognized by a number of publications as one of the top schools in the country. While the accolades and top rankings are a welcome recognition of the hard work and dedication of the students, their parents, and the faculty and staff, as a school we strive for much more. We recognize our students apply to and attend the best universities and colleges in the country. It is our priority to adequately prepare them to succeed at the next level. Our goal is for all of our students to reach beyond their own dreams and aspirations.

Mission Statement: High Technology High School is a pre-engineering career academy that emphasizes the interconnections among mathematics, science, technology and the humanities, prepares students to become creative problem solvers, effective communicators, and tomorrow's leaders through a rigorous, specialized curriculum and collaborative partnerships.
