Four of Monmouth County Vocational School District’s (MCVSD) full-time career academies have received a Best Public High Schools in New Jersey ranking from Niche.com

“We are proud to provide learning experiences that engage and motivate our students to reach their educational goals and move toward college and career success,” said Dr. Charles Ford, MCVSD superintendent. “These rankings take into account not only test scores and other academic data, but also evaluations from our students and parents, which we value most. I also want to acknowledge the many excellent K-8, L-12, and private schools in Monmouth County that helped to prepare the students we work with.” 

High Technology High School in Lincroft ranked second overall for Best Public High Schools in New Jersey and Best College Prep Public High Schools in New Jersey, third in Best High Schools for STEM in New Jersey, and received an A+ Niche grade in the academics, teachers and college prep categories. According to Niche.com, 95% of students scored at or above proficiency levels in math and 92% in reading. 

“Choosing this high school was one of the best decisions of my life,” said one of the 105 High Technology High School reviewers on Niche.com. “From amazing teachers to peers that support and get along with each other, High Technology High School provided me with the best possible high school experience I could have asked for.” 

Biotechnology High School in Freehold ranked fifth overall for Best Public High Schools in New Jersey, seventh in Best College Prep Public High Schools in New Jersey, and ninth in Best Schools for STEM in New Jersey.  

The Academy of Allied Health and Science in Neptune scored seventeenth in Best Public High Schools in New Jersey and eighteenth in Best College Prep Public High Schools in New Jersey. 95% of students scored at or above proficiency in both reading and math and the academy received an overall A+ Niche grade. 

Marine Academy of Science and Technology in Highlands ranked 18th in Best Public High Schools in New Jersey and 19th for Best High Schools for STEM in New Jersey. 

Niche.com ranks school districts based on an analysis of academic and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education along with input from current students, alumni, and parents. Factors considered, which are each assigned a different weight, include grades for academics, teachers, culture and diversity, clubs and activities, sports, resources and facilities, and parent/student surveys on overall experience.
