CTE Academic Instructor
Marketing Education is a program designed to give students real life experiences running a retail store. The Training Program includes live instruction and experiences in the areas of customer service, cashiering, stocking merchandise, salesmanship, security and basic cooking and kitchen skills. The students also have instruction in a food safety program called ServSafe.
Marketing Education curriculum includes:
Opening and closing a point of sale cash register
Giving change with the least amount of coins
Customer service-greeting customers and product knowledge
Stocking merchandise using the FIFO method
Maintaining work area
Safety in the workplace
Displaying merchandise
Pricing merchandise
Post Secondary Opportunities
